거골 골연골병변 환자를 대상으로 기존의 관절경적 미세천공술만을 시행한 환자(26명)와 관절경적 미세천공술에 줄기세포를 함께 주입한 환자(24명)을 비교하여 줄기세포 치료 효과에 대하 알아보고자 하였다.
< 연구 결과 >
관절경적 미세천공술과 함께 줄기세포를 주입한 경우 기존의 관절경적 미세천공술만을 시행한 경우보다 임상적 결과 및 자기공명영상에서 더 좋은 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.
또한 환자의 나이가 많거나 병변의 크기가 크거나, 연골하 낭종이 있는 경우에도 줄기세포를 주입한 경우 더 좋은 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.
